This program is held at the groom’s place, all the male members of the bride’s family visit the groom's place, they do a type of puja and bless the groom by applying kumkum on his forehead. The next function is Ganpati Sthapana; Ganpati means lord Ganesha and sthapana means placement. Some days before the wedding both the bride’s family and the groom’s family visit the venue and put the idol of the lord on a sacred pedestal.
Along with Ganpati Sthapana a type of haven and puja organized for peace. This ceremony is known as “Griha Shanti” and is participated by both families with the help of priests.
